Principal breeding range of Wilson’s Phalarope. This species also breeds locally north and east of this range (see text). Stars show principal saline wetlands often used by staging adults prior to their migration to South America: Great Salt Lake, UT, Mono Lake, CA, Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge, NV, Abert Lake, OR, and the commercial salt ponds at San Francisco Bay, CA.
