Conservation Status
The Black-billed Nightingale-Thrush is considered common throughout its range. According to the classification of Birdlife International (2009) is considered as of Least Concern. While some of the populations are small (Cordillera Volcánica Central) most of the habitat for this species is protected under the category of National Park both in Costa Rica and Panama (including La Amistad International Park). Actually the populations are found within the limits of seven IBAs.
