Priorities for Future Research
Introduction
Given the scarce knowledge on the biology of the species, it is important to study most aspects of its biology, especially since it is the most restricted of the species in its genus. Probably one of the most important issues is to consider is the subspecific status of the Panamanian populations, and what is the relationship between this and the Talamancan populations. The fact that phylogenetic relationships are already available for the Catharus (Winker and Pruett 2006, Voelker and Klicka 2008), would allow for better comparative analysis with the other species within its clade.
