Introduction

Bay-capped Wren-Spinetail is a unique little furnariid bearing some resemblence to the tit-spinetails (Leptasthenura). It has a rufous forecrown, streaked back, unmarked pale underparts, a rather long bill, and sharply pointed rectrices. It occurs in marshes and wet grasslands, where it gleans arthropods from vegetation. The song is an insect-like trill.
