Priorities for Future Research
Introduction
There is still a major lack of information about this species. The breeding biology, molt and invertebrate diet of Oreonympha is entirely undescribed, and no analysis of fine-scale population structure has been performed.
This species may also make a great model for anybody interested in studying the affects of introduced floral vegetation on the plasticity of hummingbird distributions. Though Oreonympha's affinity to tree tobacco and Eucalyptus has been described by many, it has yet to be quantified, and this could provide valuable information for conservations.
