Priorities for Future Research
Introduction
The priorities for future research on Bermuda Petrel will include investigating the causes for egg failure (see Wingate 1997) and continuing projects that provide a better understanding of the species' natural history, including banding and monitoring of chicks; maintaining data on nesting success and longevity; and gathering data the pelagic range of the species using dataloggers and other means. Critical to all of these activities will be the ongoing maintenance projects on all Bermuda Petrel nesting islands.
