Conservation

Buff-fronted Quail-Dove has a restricted geographic range, but the population trend is believed to be stable. Consequently its IUCN Red List conservation status is evaluated as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2014).

The relative abundance of Buff-fronted Quail-Dove is assessed as fairly common (Parker et al. 1996).

Effects of human activity on populations

Although quantitative data apparently are lacking, Buff-fronted Quail-Dove populations are believed to be stable, and no threats to this species are identified by BirdLife International (BirdLife International 2014).
