Vocalizations
The song of Black Tinamou in Peru (nominate osgoodi) is a descending deep whistle, and is similar to first note of the song of White-throated Tinamou (Tinamus guttatus) (Lane, in Schulenberg et al. 2010).
The song of Black Tinamou usually is crepuscular (Lane, in Schulenberg et al. 2010).
