Behavior

Introduction

Forages low, within 2 m of the ground. Typically forages near, if not directly over, water, although in some regions forages away from water in gallery forest or in seasonally woods in savanna (Zimmer and Isler 2003). Moves through vegetation with short hops, sometimes clinging laterally on vertical stems (Zimmer and Isler 2003). Captures prey with reaches, gleans and short sallies (Zimmer and Isler 2003). Occasionally also follows army ants (Zimmer and Isler 2003).
