Diet
There is very little information on the diet of Blue Seedeater. Stiles and Skutch (1989) describe these birds "nibbling at or pulling out tender growing shoots at tips of stems [of bamboo] and eating the bases". Blue Seedeaters also consume insects and seeds (Rowley 1962, Stiles and Skutch 1989).
