Diet and Foraging
Diet
The diet of Brown-banded Antpitta is essentially undocumented, but almost certainly is dominated by invertebrates. Like other species of Grallaria, earthworms likely are mportant for adults and for feeding young in the nest; Brown-banded Antpittas have been trained to take earthworms proffered at feeding stations (Woods et al. 2011).
