Introduction
As with all species of antpittas, the natural history and reproductive behaviors of Brown-banded Antpitta remain nearly undocumented. Studies that report on territoriality, reproductive behaviors, and diet are especially needed. In addition, in an effort to better understand the taxonomy and distribution of this species, further searches for the presence of the proposed subspecies gilesi should be made (Salaman et al. 2009).
