Conservation

The IUCN Red List conservation status of Brown Trembler is evaluated s Least Concern (BirdLife International 2014).

Effects of human activity on populations

Since the population size and trend is unknown, it is challenging to judge the extent to which Brown Trembler is affected by human activity. Since Brown Trembler prefers humid forest and is uncommon to rare in secondary habitats and in plantations, it is likely that further deforestation and conversion to plantations or other human settlement will resulting in a population decrease. It is also probable that feral cats are a source of predation on this species.
