Systematics
Geographic Variation
Information lacking, but morphometrics (Arnedt et al. 2004, Boal unpublished data) and published descriptions suggest there is minimal or insignificant geographic variation.
Related Species
There are 17 recognized species of Geotrygon (Gibbs et al. 2001). Goodwin (1977) considered Bridled Quail-Dove and Key West Quail-Dove (Geotrygon chrysia) as members of a superspecies.
