Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Chestnut-breasted Coronet is fairly common to common, is widely distributed, and is conspicuous, but its natural history is very poorly known. There is essentially no information on the range of flowering plants visited by this species, and there also is nothing known about its breeding biology. Although Chestnut-breasted Coronet occurs at forest edge and in disturbed forests, its tolerance for habitat degradation also has not been quantified.
