Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Many aspects of the Chestnut-collared Swallow's life history are not known or not well documented, such as clutch size, incubation and fledging periods, movements of populations, and diet. Chestnut-collared Swallows are being observed in places not previously recorded and in Ecuador the population is thought to have increased. Further research can aid in understanding population trends and demographic changes such as these.
