Introduction

Although the Chilean Swallow is a common and widely distributed species, which often occurs near human habitation, many aspects of its natural history remain unknown. There is little information on the diet, social behavior, the details of the nesting behavior (incubation period, etc.), of population density, and other important aspects of its biology.
