Diet and Foraging
Diet
Choco Poorwill is an insectivore, but its diet is not well known. Robbins and Ridgely (1992) reported on the contents of the stomachs of three specimens from Ecuador. All three stomachs contained beetles (Scarabaeidae); other insects represented were weevils (Curculionidae), Cerambycidae, and moths (Lepidoptera).
