Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

The majority of future research should be concerned with the basic life history of the Choco poorwill, especially the breeding biology. Little is known about the courtship, nesting, and parenting behavior of this species. Further work could be done on the exact range and population demography to create effective conservation programs to protect the bird.
