Breeding

Introduction

There is no information on the reproductive biology of Choco Tinamou; the nest and eggs are undescribed, and there is no information on the seasonality of breeding. Presumably, the eggs are glossy and colored, unspotted and porcelain like, and the eggs are laid on the ground, as in other species of tinamou (Cabot 1992). As a rule for this family, the male incubates (Cabot 1992).
