Introduction

Crescent-chested Warbler is a small, brightly-colored, New World warbler with yellow underparts, a gray head, greenish back and a chestnut crescent on its breast. It is locally common in montane oak-pine from Mexico to Honduras with some individuals moving to lower elevations during winter. Crescent-chested Warbler is typically found in mixed-species flocks, feeding mostly on insects. Although Crescent-chested Warbler typically forages in the midstory and canopy of the forest, the few nests that have been reported all were on or near the ground.
