Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Much basic life history remains to be clarified, particularly on the topics of predation and reproduction. Until rates of extra-pair paternity are studied, the current assumption that this species is monogamous remains undocumented. The vulnerability of populations to human threats such as road traffic and encroachment of settlements on habitat is also largely speculative and would benefit greatly from scientific study.
