Breeding
Introduction
Little information. Snethlage (1935) reported that the nest is in small trees and small palms in the forest undergrowth, on the banks of streams or ponds. She also reported that the nest is a small open cup, and that the eggs are white or yellow-pink with red spots.
Birds have been collected in breeding condition in January in southern Colombia (Olivares 1962). Gonads of one specimen from southern Venezuela were reported as moderately enlarged in April, but other specimens from March and May had small gonads (Willard et al. 1991).
