Conservation

Conservation Status

At the global level it can be considered as a Least Concern species. In Mexico it is not considered as a threatened species. Although the fact that the population appears to be in slight decline, it does not qualify to be threatened because of the its large range, and the fact that the decrease in population is still very large and the decline is small.

Effects of human activity on populations

Human activity has little short-term direct effect on the Golden-crowned Warbler, other than the local effects of habitat destruction.
