Conservation

Conservation Status

Greater Antillean Nightjar has a relatively large geographic range, and the population trend is believed to be stable throughout its range; consequently its IUCN Red List conservation status is evaluated as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2014a, b).

Effects of human activity on populations

None documented.  However, destruction of habitat undoubtably would affect this species, and introduced predators also are a potential threat.
