Diet and Foraging

Diet

There is very little information on the diet of Gray Thrasher. It is reported to consume arthropods and the fruits of several types of cactus (Opuntia, Pereskiopsis, Wilcoxia), and it is presumed to feed on other fruits as well (Cody 2005). There seems to be no information on the relative contributions of arthropods and fruit to the diet, or whether these ratios may vary seasonally.
