Diet and Foraging
Diet
The diet of Green-backed Sparrow is poorly known, but presumably is similar to that of Black-striped Sparrow (Arremonops conirostris), which consumes insects, seeds, berries, and soft fruit (Skutch 1954). The stomach contents of two specimens were insects and seeds (Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, University of California, Berkeley).
