Grand Cayman Thrush Turdus ravidus

Breeding

Introduction

Brown, who collected in April to July 1911, only brought home adult birds, while Richardson who collected over the summer of 1886 came back with 1 adult, two juvenile males, and 1 young juvenile, the latter collected during August (Bangs 1916, Johnston 1969). It is therefore possible that this thrush would have reproduction timed so that young were around in the second part of summer, but there might also have been variation from year to year that the limited specimen material cannot show.
