Sounds and Vocal Behavior

Vocalizations

Savage English (1916) described the song as "very subdued, recalling the warble of a Budgerigar" (Melopsittacus undulatus). The song on one occasion was given from a tall mangrove bush and the bird stayed in full sight for 5-10 minutes while singing. He also described a call given while the bird crossed a new road as a " 'Thrush' clatter", but again "just audible".

There are no known audio recordings of vocalizations of Grand Cayman Thrush.

Nonvocal Sounds
