Conservation
Conservation Status
As of 2009, The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List categorizes the conservation status of the Green Honeycreeper as “Least Concern” due its very large geographic distribution, which is estimated as 7,920,000 km2, and very large population size (BirdLife International 2009). The population numbers do not appear to be declining and there is no vulnerable threat to its habitat (BirdLife International 2009). For these reasons, no immediate actions are currently taking place to protect the Green Honeycreeper.
