Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Very little is known about the natural history of Green Thorntail, apart from its distribution and very basic information on its foraging behavior. Additional research should focus on such topics as its reproductive biology, age at first breeding, life span and survivorship, dispersal, population regulation, molts, population density, and sexual behavior. More research also could be done on seasonal movements and migration in Green Thorntail.
