Diet and Foraging
Diet
There is very little information on the diet of Lesser Ground-Cuckoo. Dickey and van Rossem (1938) reported that "twelve stomachs, in some of which small grasshoppers were present, show that the diet of the ground cuckoo is entirely insectivorous". Tashian (1953) reported "insects, including beetles and Orthoptera", in the stomachs of two specimens.
