Little information. Forages on the ground, with gleaning motions.

Roost on the ground (Skutch 1963).

Territoriality

Sexual Behavior

Very little information. Brennan (2004) suggests that tinamous in general exhibit exclusive male paternal care, which is usually associated with reversal of sex roles and polyandry in the case of birds.

Social and interspecific behavior

Solitary and reserved, rarely seen except when crossing a forest path or other opening.
