Conservation Status
Globally, the conservation status of Mountain Thrush is assessed as Least Concern, in view of its broad distribution range and the apparent slow rate of population decline (BirdLife International 2013). Under Mexican law, however, Mountain Thrush is regarded as subject to special protection, as this species could be threatened by habitat loss.
Effects of human activity on populations
No short term threats to Mountain Thrush are identified (BirdLife International 2013).
