Conservation Status
The IUCN/Red List conservation status of the Narrow-billed Tody is assessed as of Least Concern, due to its relatively wide geographic distribution and large population size (BirdLife International 2011) . Although the global population size and the overall population trend have not been quantified, the population is believed to be in decline, due to ongoing habitat loss (BirdLife International 2011).

The global population of Narrow-billed Tody is believed to be in decline, due to habitat loss (BirdLife International 2011). More directly, todies are victims of predation by children, who kill them with slingshots (Kepler 2001).
