Breeding
Introduction
The nest and eggs of Nariño Tapaculo are undescribed; presumably the nest is a cup or sphere in a cavity or burrow, as is described for other species of Scytalopus. Specimens in breeding condition have been collected in November, December, and April, and a juvenile is reported from November (Krabbe and Schulenberg 1997, 2003).
