Introduction

Very little is known about the natural history of Nariño Tapaculo; in view of its furtive habits and dense habitat, this would be a challenging species to study. No nests have been reported for this species. The plumage sequence is not known in any detail. There also is no published information on topics such as age at first breeding, life span and survivorship, dispersal, home range and population density, or population regulation for Nariño Tapaculo.
