Breeding
Introduction
Very little information. None of the original series of specimens, collected in June and October, had enlarged gonads (Graves 1980). The only known nest, however, was found in August; this nest was a mossy cup, ca 4 cm deep and ca 5 cm across, with pale lichens, and possibly held together with spider webs (Collar et al. 1992). The nest was sited ca 2 m above the ground "in a small rock-ledge cavity sheltered from the prevailing" (Collar et al. 1992). A female was on the nest, but the contents were not examined. Presumably the clutch is two, and only the female incubates the eggs and provisions the nestlings.
