Breeding
Introduction
The nest and eggs of Oaxaca Sparrow are undescribed; presumably the nest is a cup made of grass and other plant fibers, as is the case for the congeners Rusty Sparrow (Aimophila rufescens) and Rufous-crowned Sparrow (Aimophila ruficeps). A male specimen with enlarged gonads is reported from May (Binford 1989), and specimens of laying females are reported from early July and mid August (Wolf 1977). A juvenile specimen is from August, and so probably was hatched in June (Wolf 1977).
