Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Although Opal-crowned Tanager is widely distributed in western Amazonia, it is relatively uncommon and is very poorly known. Its diet is not known in any detail, and its reproductive biology is completely unknown. There also is no information related to topics such as age at first breeding, life span and survivorship, dispersal, or population regulation for Opal-crowned Tanager.
