Breeding

Introduction

Information on the breeding biology of Spectacled Tyrannulet is sparse. Like other species of Zimmerius, the nest is a vertically-oriented oval shape with an entrance on the side.

The clutch is two. Egg coloration and size not published.

Specimens in breeding condition are reported from Colombia (Perijá) from March-November (Hilty and Brown 1986).
