Diet and Foraging

Diet

As with other species of warblers, Pink-headed Warbler feeds mainly on insects, but also eat fruit at certain seasons of the year (Morse 1989). This species concentrates its foraging in the undergrowth, usually between 2 to 5 m (Wilson and Will 1997), in leaves or tree trunks. However, it has been found foraging and vocalizing in the forest canopy at heights of 15 m during March and April (Wilson and Will 1997, personal observations).
