Conservation Status
The IUCN conservation status of Plush-crested Jay is rated as of Least Concern (Birdlife International 2010). Since this species has a large range (2,830,000 km2) and a population that is believed to be stable population, it is not considered to be at risk.
The relative abundance of the Plush-crested Jay is assessed as "fairly common to common" across the entirety of its range (Ridgely and Tudor 1989).
