Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

The Puerto Rican Tanager may be the least studied of the Puerto Rican endemics. Almost all aspects of its life history are unknown or poorly known. Studies on its breeding system, incubation period, brood survival and post natal dispersal are needed. Territory size is little known and why this species is absent from other apparent suitable habitat is not well understood.
