Introduction

The population status of Red-billed Ground-Cuckoo is poorly known. It is considered rare and local (Erritzöe et al. 2012).

The global populations size has not been quantified. The extent of its occurrence is approximately 1,180,000 km2 (BirdLife International 2017).
