Diet and Foraging
Diet
Rufous-breasted Sabrewing is primarily nectarivorous, but the diet is not known in any detail. Rufous-breasted Sabrewing presumably also consumes small arthropods, as do most if not all species of hummingbirds (Remsen et al. 1986).
