Distribution
Distribution in the Americas
Rufous-webbed Brilliant is resident on the east slope of the Andes of central and southern Peru and northern Bolivia. Most localities are on outlying ridges, but locally it also occurs on the main slopes of the Andes, especially in central Peru. This brilliant occurs north to northeastern San Martín (close to a locality for Pink-throated Brilliant Heliodoxa gularis in north central San Martín) and southwestern Loreto in the Cordillera Azul (Schulenberg et al. 2001), and south to La Paz, Bolivia (Hennessey et al. 2003).
The elevational range of Rufous-webbed Brilliant is 650–1700 m (Walker et al. 2006, Schulenberg et al. 2010).

Endemic to the Americas.
Habitat
Rufous-webbed Brilliant occurs in humid montane forest and forest edge.
