Priorities for Future Research

Introduction

Comparing to other species of tinamous, the life history of the Slaty-breasted Tinamou is relatively well documented, although only from a single site. There also are few or no data on demographic factors such as the age at first breeding, lifespan, survivorship, diseases, dispersal, and population density. There is little information about predation in this species. It also would be important to assess the effect of hunting on the populations of Slaty-breasted Tinamou.
