Spot-fronted Swift is insectivorous. The first detailed account of the diet of Spot-fronted Swift was published by Marín and Stiles in 1993. They found 86.7% of stomach contents (n = 4) to be Hemiptera and Hymenoptera; this strong preference is found in other species of swifts.
