Diet and Foraging
Diet
Like most of its congeners, the diet of Tawny Antpitta is poorly documented. The few stomachs examined contained a variety of invertebrates and in one case bones, possibly of a small frog (Olivares 1973, Parker et al. 1985). One stomach apparently was filled mostly with 2 mm long seeds and another contained "fruit" (Krabbe and Schulenberg 2003)
